Every nostalgic millennial waits for HBO's Harry Potter series like they were waiting for their owl letter to Hogwarts when they were 11. And honestly? Same.

On our 11th birthday, all we wished for was an owl to appear on our window ledge, holding a letter from Hogwarts in its beak. In the letter, obviously, there would be an invitation to come and study at Hogwarts, since we're young witches and wizards. But that's not the main point. Think about it for a second - strip the obvious wish of an 11-year-old child to be a part of a magical world, and you've got a kid wishing to see a specific animal. That's a very special thing - it's how animal lovers are born.

As kids who wished an owl would bring them the message they're going to learn magic, it's only natural that now, as we're waiting anxiously for the Harry Potter TV series to arrive, the only animal we're reminded of is an owl. Since the first book of Harry Potter saw the light of day, the animal that represented it best was always an owl. And since we're all self-declared animal lovers here (otherwise we wouldn't call ourselves "Animal Comedy"), with the trailer dropping, we can't help but think that it's owl time.

As we wait for Harry to receive his own Hogwarts letter on the small screen, and then adopt Hedwig too, of course - we can pass the time by collecting a magical pack of owl memes. That's the magic of specifically owl memes - they're there day and night, until we can finally see the magic on screen.
